SCHOOL VISITS As former teachers, it seems natural for us to do school visits. In our programs we include information about the Saw-Whet Owl and compare it with other owls. Visual aids, and recordings of the owl's call, help to bring our book's subject to life. We even bring in an old cross cut saw to demonstrate how the bird got his name. We use interactive elements in the presentation and take questions from students and teachers. Activity and coloring pages are provided for teachers to duplicate if they wish to use some follow-up activities.
